After nearly an entire year in the backwoods of Sharpsburg, Georgia, finally we decided 2 head back across the Dixie Line 2 Tammy’s original spot – Portland, Maine.
On the way, we were faced with that grueling 22 hour, 15 state excursion which left us in complete awe & exhaustion.
So with roof bag in tow, Slappy (our little tabby in which we lost on day 1) & trusty Canon, off we went on another one of those crazed Weddington Adventures.
Carolinas
(nothing special…)
Virginia
(pretty clean place…)
Rhode Island
…(blah, blah, blah..)
District of Columbia
(wanted 2 stop by the White House but made a wrong turn.
Oh well, maybe next time.)
Maryland…
(Had a cool time with the employees @ Dunkin Donuts…thanks)
Pennsylvania…
(I’m diggin’ Philly & the incredible architecture but dayum! I really thought that LOVE sign was much bigger…lol. Either case, we had a ball!!)
New Jersey
…(Nothing much 2 write home about.)
New York
…(Lots of tolls & just way 2 many people…If you’re gonna charge $13.00 then at least
fix your streets…)
Anyway, you get the point.
Uncertain of what’s around the corner @ our final destination of Portland, Maine, but there’s no doubt that whatever it is, it’ll definitely be well worth the trip….yep!!!
Well…until then…
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)

Wave when you pass by. We’re just a few miles upstream when you cross the bridge into Maine.
We just crossed the bridge & waved. Did you see us as we passed by? Thanks for the kind welcome & be sure 2 keep in touch. Until next time…
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Felt the good vibes. And congratulations on beating the blizzard. Now be sure to stay bundled up, warm, and dry. As you know, we’re in for some wild weather.
Welcome back to Maine….a pretty cool place with a lot of nice people and a lot less than $13 in tolls to travel!
Thanks a plenty for the wonderful welcome. Much appreciated. Thus far, Maine has been fabulous with kind people, no tolls (ha, ha, ha) & great atmosphere….(other than this nasty snow storm we’re currently having). Appreciate the blog you have & keep up the great work.
Be sure 2 keep in touch….Yep!
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Thanks for becoming a subscriber. You passed my wonderful (but small) state, Delaware. It’s really quite fabulous, especially it’s location on the East Coast. We’ve got great beaches too. Now I’m going to stroll through your site. Happy travels.
Delaware was a pretty awesome spot. Didn’t see much going through but had a great feel 2 it. Looking 2 going back during the summer months. Thanks much. Appreciate the kind words & be sure 2 keep in touch.
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Good music. Who/what is it?
That was a song called “Just Like Somebody Else” by a group named Big Daddy Weave. Great music for sure & be sure 2 keep in touch….until next time.
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Thanks, I’ll look them up.
Hi, thanks for liking my latest post… and good luck and good fun in your own newest adventure
Thanks for the very kind words & be sure 2 do the very same.
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
you were on my running route on Broad Street and Ben Franklin Parkway in Philly!
Really? Wow!….that’s funny. Well it was certainly a great place 2 be. The traffic, the buildings, the art…..had a wonderful time there. Looking 2 going back during the summer months.. Small world huh….
Be sure 2 keep in touch.
Peace!….with 2 fingers;)
And… My daughter is getting married across the street from City Hall and the Love statue this summer. Brings your 22 hour tour closer to home. Small world, beautiful world
Indeed;)
22 hours and 15 states is quite an adventure. Thanks for stopping long enough to visit and like my post “Trying to Stand Tall”>
Oh yes. An adventure that seems 2 never stop. Life surely does takes you places. Be sure 2 keep in touch.
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Aww, the Carolinas got a “nothing special”? I guess the scenery off of the interstate *is* pretty much a drag, but I think y’all just need a good tour guide next time you’re down there!
I think you’re spot on. A tour guide & a greater sense of direction would help plenty. The only thing we saw driving through was interstate, trees & a Quick Trip gas station…lol.
I’m sure there’s so much more 2 see in the Carolinas & look forward 2 making a trip. Thanks for the cool comment & be sure 2 keep in touch.
Peace!…with 2 fingers;)
Quick Trips are the bomb. Best. nachos. ever! I love the Carolinas dearly, but I think you’re SO lucky to be in Maine When we were stationed in Mass., we used to vacation in York Beach, and I still have dreams about that place.
I look forward to keeping in touch! Best wishes to you and yours!
